Common Questions

What ages can start the program?
We welcome students as young as 3. Our Tiny Tigers program (ages 3–6) uses play-based movement and age-appropriate martial arts fundamentals to build coordination, listening skills, and early confidence.
What if my child doesn't like it?
Most kids are nervous the first time — that's normal. Our instructors are trained to meet kids where they are: shy, hyperactive, resistant, or unsure. We've seen it all in over 20 years. Give us 30 minutes.
Is this going to be too aggressive?
We don't train fighters — we train leaders. There's zero full-contact sparring in our kids' programs. Every technique is taught with control, respect, and purpose. Our focus is building confidence, not aggression.
What happens during the free intro class?
Your child joins a real class alongside other students. They'll learn techniques, make friends, and experience our teaching style firsthand. Afterward, you can decide if NEXTStep is the right fit — no pressure.
